Declaration of accessibility

Introduction

We strive to make our website https://www.verticalextreme.de accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) and the associated ordinance (BFSGV). Our goal is to enable all users, in particular people with disabilities, to use the website easily and without restriction.

This statement describes the state of accessibility of our website, the measures taken to remove barriers and the ways to contact us and to lodge a complaint.

Scope of this statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.verticalextreme.de.

Description of the service

On this website we offer the following services:

In addition, this website contains a blog. Frequently asked questions and answers are also included on this website.

Compliance status

Our website partially meets the requirements of the BFSG in conjunction with the BFSGV, the applicable technical standards of the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1. The benchmark applied is WCAG conformance level AA.

Measures implemented to remove barriers

The accessibility requirements are met on our website in particular through the following measures:

  • Alternative texts for images
  • Additional text notices when mandatory input fields are not completed
  • Adaptable display options for different devices (smartphones, tablets, desktop computers etc.)

Non-accessible content

Despite our efforts, the content listed below is not accessible:

  • embedded third-party content whose design we cannot influence (Trusted Shops review widget, payment buttons from PayPal, Amazon Pay and Klarna, Google Maps maps, 3D tour by Fokus 3D, embedded YouTube videos without our own subtitles)
  • PDF documents such as invoices and delivery notes
  • individual images and logos without a text alternative (including the logo link, payment method logos, seals)
  • individual texts and notices with insufficient colour contrast (including the “in stock” availability label)
  • individual scrollable areas that cannot be reached by keyboard (e.g. technical data on product pages)
  • controls for signing in during checkout (nested tabs “guest” / “sign in”)

We are continuously working to identify and remove existing barriers. We endeavour to provide an adapted version or accessible alternatives promptly.
